The Fate’s Voyage: Onward expansion is finally here with over 60 new cards, 3 new champions, 2 new keywords and 1 new card type. Let's briefly go through the update and learn what's new! :)
Nilah is a new champion from Bilgewater that plays around Slipstream, giving you more options to play with, but you'll have to be aware of their Fleeting status! She levels up after you've drawn 16 cards, which is going to be easy thanks to Slipstream, after which she becomes a real problem whenever she attacks.
Ready for the storm? Janna enters the battlefield and brings a new keyword with her called Updraft. This is going to be a fun mechanic to play around with, as it fills your hand with cards and their cost is even reduced. She levels up after you've played 6 cards with reduced costs, after which her effect will apply on every round start.
Updraft - Shuffle a card into your deck and reduce its cost by 1.
Ready for even MORE storm? Volibear also introduces a new keyword through his specific cards called Titanic. He's going to be a very strong unit, having 10 health and attack and even more when leveled up, but his high cost of 9 should balance things out. Volibear levels up after you've dealt at least 50 damage, after which the enemy units and Nexus are going to have a difficult time surviving, all while your units are granted Overwhelm. Oof!
Titanic - Units with 8+ Attack or Health.
New Card Type - Elemental
A bunch of spells and play effects will receive the Elemental card type, changing the way they interact with other cards newly added in the Fate’s Voyage: Onward expansion.
