To clarify the deck, the goal is to use Spells to buff Pyke primarily, or Braum/Avarosian Hearthguard if Pyke is not drawn. The Game plan is to carefully chose and plan trades until you can get Pyke in and buff him up through advantageous trade and spells to make him level up as quick as possible

really cool and original deck, but i was wondering, why not run something like boneskewer to help level/activate leveled pyke.
Also what is the point of the sharkling? without any other lurk cards it seems to me like a weird inclusion.
Not trying to be critical, just curious

Thanks for giving this deck a chance !
Unfortunately, the bone skewer resets pyke's buffs gained through spells.
As for the sparkling it seemed to me it was the best 1 cost unit to include alongside the omen hawk with its 1-2 stats.
Though this could be considered not the best choice and I am open to hear about your or other people's alternatives for certain cards
i just don't see lurk in this deck being consistent enough to get buffed. Personally i would replase it with a spell, so the buffs can more consistantly land on useful targets. To be fair i haven't playtested the deck that much

I used the sharkling purely for its 1/2 stats, and not planning on using the lurk keyword.
But now that I went through again the card list using a more visible listing that the in-game UI, some better suited 1 cost unit cards arose.
From freljord:
Yeti yearling - gives a 1 cost 5/5 On death in the deck but could slow down the buff draw plan
Unscarred reaver - could be really good in a defensive setup for early buffs to solidify an early game,
From bilgewater :
Jagged butcher - it's a 2/2 so it will tank all the 1 attack units, and the plunder can promote him to a 3/3
From these options I would be more inclined to lean towards the unscarred reaver as I planned to use the sharkling as a defensive option for the early game.
As for replacing with a spell, I am in doubt it will benefit the deck's plan, as it could be shifting the focus away too much from buffing pyke. I haven't looked into them too much as of yet though, maybe removing ancestral boon and going for 2 units and 2 spells could be te way to go
