This deck was my attempt at a simple idea: "Draw huge units". I wanted to have less units in the deck so that deck-buffs stack on the top unit, and I wanted the majority of the deck to be 2costs so Insightful Investigator can do her thing. Starlit Seer is the MVP of the deck, like it is in most of these types of decks, but I hope this deck brings that fact to its logical extreme. It is a lot of fun to play!
Early:
- Ideally, you can start with a Starlit Seer in hand along with Vi so she can grow in your hand before playing. Insightful Investigator is less important to start with since you will not have a lot of mana to get 2drop chains going if you play her before midgame.
- Playing Omen hawk early is best since it is the earliest buff to the next unit you can start with. This is great so that any other Starlit Seers or Academic Prodigies (really great earlygame due to quickattack) are buffed when played since they are vulnerable to early aggro and damage with low health.
- After that, defend and play deck-boosting cards until your first big unit draw comes out. This starts Midgame
Midrange:
- As soon as you have that 5+ power/health unit (champion or otherwise), you can start being more aggressive. The threat of that unit lets you force bad blocks and it lets you safely conserve mana for a turn once you have Insightful Investigator in your hand.
- Use Udyr to grant regenerate to key units and overrun to big units and Vi.
- Because you will draw so quickly, you are also more likely to draw Sumpworks Map in a game, which is a reliable win condition (Bigole unit now has elusive. Surprise)
Tip: using Iterative improvement on Starlit Seer gives the best value most of the time. Having that in here allows you to pretty reliably have 2 Starlit Seers out at once. If facing alot of unit damage or board clears, you might instead save it to react to things targeting your Starlit Seer in play, or for when you have the mana and Insightful Investigator setup to start a huge chain.
Enjoy! I'd love to talk about it in the comments, too.
